Classical Music is still in beta testing. We've got plans on how to improve it before making it live, but currently we are working on the other worlds. It will go live at some point though!
I thought Classical world was simply undergoing a refit to make it adequate for the particular requirements of classical entries... but it seems like it's been abandoned to it's fate.
Oddly though, people have started to add a lot to it since it's been taken off the main menu.
And since new worlds have been added since, which I suspect require a bit of hard work to get going, it only seems to have confirmed the idea that this world is not getting the work done on it that I thought.
Are the entries so fixed once submitted that they cannot be simply re-allocated to a different world?
Most classical items continue to be added by format-- 78, LP, etc.
To see this, watch the new additions to 45worlds.
To help gauge database content, try a search from the 45worlds main menu on ALL for "Chopin" or "Enrico Caruso." Relatively few items show up in classical; most are listed elsewhere.
There was grumbling about the introduction of the classical section because so much had already been input into other sections.
Classical has been removed from the worlds main menu. One suspects it is headed for removal.
Users have the option of inputting records in both one format, and also in the classical section. This is time consuming, and confusing.
While the classical section has some nice features, it's still not very good for classical music. The Cinema section features more options for inputting several names, something classical needs. Classical is also redundant, in composer for example. A composer's name is sometimes input several times, plus being repeated for each track.
