ReviewAlthough there is no mention in the tracklisting, this Double CD contains all the tracks from Dexter Wansel's four US Philadelphia International LPs as follows .....
Dexter was a keyboard player who ended up becoming better known as a songwriter/producer/arranger and his name appears in the credits of a number of Philadelphia International recordings from the late 1970s and early 1980s.
Generally his recordings were very much in an experimental Jazz/Funk style though nowadays his best known recordings are probably "The Sweetest Pain" (a Mellow/Jazzy Soul tune with vocals by Terri Wells) and "I'll Never Forget My Favourite Disco" (a rather over-blown ditty that seems to owe a lot to Sister Sledge's "He's The Greatest Dancer"). My favourites on here would have to include the Jazz/Funk tracks "Life On Mars" and "Solutions".
