Doccus 2nd Jun 2022		CD Album Jeanne And The Darlings / The Charmels - We're The Soul Girls! – The Complete Volt Recordings (2012)	A great many of the European Stax compilations were, in fact, compiled by Ace as well as some of the liner notes.. so perhaps it's continuation of an agreement between them and Stax, although I can't say, but I do know that Concord licenced out all these discs to Ace. I don't know if they still do (in 2022) as I have no current European Stax discs handy to check..
Doccus 24th May 2022		CD Album Various Artists - Teen Beat, 30 Great Rockin' Instrumentals (1993)	Thank you Paul, for the new scans. Interestingly, the liner notes appear to be the same, although now properly formatted throughout, increasing the readability as well.
Doccus 23rd May 2022		CD Album King Curtis - Old Gold / Doing The Dixie Twist (1995)	I've added (as a cursory glance will verify) the misprint sleeves that came with the CD. Pages 2,3, 6&7 curiously belong to a different release, however, the center sleeve containing pages 4&5 appear to be correct. It's not a simple case of stapling the incorrect pages to the booklet either, as the misprint is actually printed onto the backside of the outside cover. So the question is, 1) did they ever correct this printing error, and 2) what was supposed to be contained on pages 2,3,6&7 instead and does anyone actually have the correct pages, and 3) what release do the incorrect pages actually belong to? If anyone who worked at Ace 30 years ago can help, too , it would certainly be appreciated..

Doccus 19th Apr 2022		CD Album Various Artists - Wild One – The Cameo-Parkway Story (2013)	Very old question, but yes, precisely. The entire label's catalog ( and in fact even the parent label as well) consists of expired EU copyrights. AFAIK, the first year these started to enter the public domain was 2012, and every year there's a new bunch that qualify. Since then , there's been endless labels specializing in these tracks. Strangely enough, however, all of them are reserving copyright on their compilations, implying that the tracks themselves are somehow now copyrighted (?) but I seem to recall that the most that they can claim is the order of the tracks and any attendant packaging.....

Doccus 22nd Nov 2021		CD Album The Goodees - Condition Red!: The Complete Goodees (2010)	Are these the same girls that are often spelt "Goodies"? The only listing I could find spelled that way was three Brit fellas, and they certainly didn't sing "Sophisticated Boom Boom", but it sounds exactly like the Goodees.. Anyone know for sure?

They're P-Vine, not ACE discs.. Ace CDs would have had Ace badging, and the numbers ABOXCD4-1 , ABOXCD4-2, ABOXCD4-3. Other than that they're identical..

I only just noticed mine is missing a page, and the only other copy I have left is the one shown, the 1993 version, which for some reason is the only version for sale everywhere...

King - The RPM Hits 1951-1957 (1999)	Could I suggest whoever uploads these scans to please , if at all possible, to make them at least a readable size.. 400 pixels height is just too small to even enlarge - 600 pixels is a minimum acceptable readable size.. With so many legal downloading sites now in existance, many albums from those places come without any artwork. In fact I have not seen a single legal site bothering to supply any artworkother than a cover scan (and only sometimes), so this site is becoming crucial now..
