I chose to list first things first because I couldn't see this release. It's so complicated to work out exactly who is the releasing label. It's licensed to Mercury Records too in this release.

Fokeman 8th Aug 2024		CD Album The Velvet Underground And Nico - The Velvet Underground And Nico (1996)	I think if there are sufficient differences between the UK (Universal and Made in UK) issue and the European (Polydor and Made in Germany) issue, then they should be considered as different. It would therefore be helpful to add the details of the other, UK issue, to the site.

Fokeman 26th Apr 2024		CD Album Richard Digance - Back On Song (2005)	Where does it say Dambuster? He sold Dambuster to CM and this looks more like the label is Richard Digance Music (or Merchandise) (RDM) Without exception Dambuster prefixes were DAM.
Fokeman 26th Apr 2024		CD Album The Hush [Geordies] - Dark To The Sky (2002)	One of the best and most listened to CDs in my whole collection. I was lucky enough to see them perform live and it was one of my favourite concerts ever. I drove miles to see it. I'm gutted that they didn't do another CD but it was a large band (six members) and it must be difficult to sustain a group without significant financial success.

Fokeman 25th Apr 2023		CD Album Hedgehog Pie - Hedgehog Pie	It seems that this is entirely unofficial, given their woeful spelling of the record's producer Geoff Heslop, here spelled "Jeff Heslop" and previously spelled Geoff Hislop (confusion with Private Eye editor Ian Hislop?) in the notes for this CD release.

Fokeman 2nd Dec 2022		CD Album Richard Shindell - Sparrows Point (1992)	Review This is one of those recordings you never tire of. I think I found my first copy in a library sale about twenty years ago. I played it over and over in the car and grew to love every song. The first track is a stand-out brilliant song, dealing with the anger and bitterness of a break-up, asking that question that we all when someone leaves us. Are you happy now? Did your life get better now that I'm out of your life? Another great song is all about buying a truck (a Kenworth) and thinking it's going to make you happy forever because it has all the style and paintjob you've ever dreamed of. Those are just two though, and every one is its own little bit of genius. I've since bought it again so that I can enjoy it again - I lost the old copy years ago but remembered how much it meant to me then. Fokeman 2nd Nov 2022		CD Album Black Sabbath - Reunion (1998)	Although this is made in Austria, this looks like it is made specifically for the French market with the typical SACEM BIEM SDRM lozenge The catalogue number from the booklet seems to be 01-491954-10 and the discs have 01-491954-10/1 & 01-491954-10/2 so this seem like a good way of representing the number for the whole set rather than 01-491954-2 What's odd is that the back insert seems to be numbered 01-491954-11 which rather suggests that each part of this set has a different number. On the other hand the sticker on the front (not present on my copy) also says 01-491954-10 Apart from the numbers, it's really clear that this is NOT exclusively a UK issue and that if it were bought in the UK it was still very much a European (if not exclusively French) issue. Surely we must go for the most appropriate country rather than an issue in every country it could be bought in?

Fokeman 31st Oct 2022		CD Album Matt Molloy And John Carty - Pathway To The Well (2007)	What a lovely synchronous coincidence that in entering two different recordings by different artists I find that two of these tracks also appeared on the Séamus & Manus McGuire LP called "Humours Of Lissadell" . Both tracks 01 and 08 appear on this beautiful LP.

Fokeman 13th Aug 2022		CD Album De Dannan - How The West Was Won (1999)	I've just done this. Frankie Gavin is the leader of the group so sometimes (in the early days) they appeared as De Danann (the correct mythological name) but the band got fed up with repeated misspelling of their name and changed it to De Dannan. There are also Frankie Gavin & De Dannan references so it is quite complicated to link them all sufficiently and correctly. Hilariously, there is also a CD on Frankie Gavin's Bees Knees label where the name was given on the cover as De Dannann and on the CD De Danaan. I don't know if this was an error or a joke. Either way it's funny!
