Canada follows the U.S. catalog numbers... had letter prefixes in 1997. If your CD has LC: anywhere.. it's definitely not Canadian.. as Europe used Label Codes.

GEMSMFAN 11th Jan 2015		CD Album Paul McCartney - Pipes Of Peace (1984)	Wasn't this released on CBS first? Here in the U.S., Both "Tug Of War" and "Pipes of Peace" were released on Columbia in "1982" and "1984" respectably. The reissues were released in 1996 on Capitol/Parlophone.
GEMSMFAN 10th Jan 2015		CD Album The Getaway People - Turnpike Diaries (2000)	I saw a U.S. copy on eBay with photos (unfortunately, the disc image is blurry) and there is small print running around the outside rim... are you sure the number isn't printed there? please check the inner CD ring (matrix) visible probably from the silver playing side for the CPTP number. I see that the number you submitted is printed under the logo, but... if it's in the matrix.. that is NOT the catalog number also. CPTP is an odd prefix and 100564 is a 6-digit number with CBS using 5-digit with only a 2 letter prefix.

The bar code that was provided clearly indicates that, as 63624 is part of that number. http://www.discogs.com/Getaway-People-The-Turnpike-Diaries/release/2630166 CPTP 100564 is the printed number in ( ) under the catalog number on the CD, and that is usually the CD matrix in the center ring.
