gregs45s SUBS 15th Nov 2022		CD Album David Bowie - Very Best (1998)	This one had me slightly confused for a while, with the barcode, label code and retail price code all in place i thought it was official for a while, but then David is smoking a fag on the front cover, and the lack of any credits in the 2-way fold-out artwork confirmed my suspicions that this was an unofficial release and Discogs confirmed this having another 5 versions of this one. If you want to make this a bootleg i'm fine with that, i'm a bit unsure though, do you want all unofficial releases put under bootlegs?, as i know that there are a lot of Chinese unnoficial (here) releases but that are maybe "official" in China for example(you see don't i;)(a murky pond indeed;)

gregs45s SUBS 14th Nov 2022		CD Album Various Artists - The Midas Touch (1988)	This fairly early compilation made to promote the advantages of using a real gold layer on the Disc, and, whilst sound quality is admittedly good, i've already thought about buying a load of these and melting them all down as they are only going for about £4 each ;)

gregs45s SUBS 11th Nov 2022		CD Album Quincy Jones - Back On The Block (1989)	Ha ha, yes, there are many cases of innacuracy when it comes to the artwork, misspelled tracks/artists, wrong retail price codes/Cat.No's etc. etc., and occasions where the record company has just been lazy, and uses the same artwork for different countries (done on a Friday afternoon perhaps;) The golden rule i use when adding CD's is to make sure that the 3 main identifiers (Label/Cat.No./barcode) are exactly the same, if they differ in any way (even by one number or letter) then i add them separately, as, very often with CD's, one numbers difference at the end of many longer Cat No's in particular indicate a packaging difference like slip case, O-Card, or just to identify the difference between a standard jewel case and a card sleeve. Also, if the entry already on the system only has one Cat,No, and your copy has 2,3, or more Cat.No's, that again would warrant a separate entry as it's a different release. gregs45s SUBS 11th Nov 2022		CD Album Quincy Jones - Back On The Block (1989)	@Helen Willemse Hi, your copy appears to be the same as this one, "This release/reissue has a couple misprints on the back artwork: ) Track 1 is named [Prologue (Q's Rap)], instead of [Prologue (2 Q's Rap)]. ) The label code on the back is incorrect." So it's a separate release and therefore would warrant it's own entry if not already on the system

gregs45s SUBS 10th Nov 2022		CD Album Anworth Kirk And Demdike Stare - Samhain Slant Azimuth Volume 1 (2010)	This one would have been apt for Halloween, ghostly ambient soundscapes, part Electronic experimental, part conventional instrumentation, creates a great sense of suspense. It would be a worthy soundtrack for any horror movie. (Recommended if you like "weird shit", which i do;) ("Anworth Kirk is the place where some scenes for "The Wicker Man" (1973) were directed by Robin Hardy.") ("Demdike (aka Elizabeth Southern) was the ringleader of the Pendle Witches. Accused of three murders, she died in prison in 1622 before coming to trial.")

(it was an assumption;) He actually has a pretty good voice and i see he has released at least another 4 albums and a DVD. Cheers!

gregs45s SUBS 27th Oct 2022		CD Album Lol Creme, Kevin Godley - Consequences (2019)	What a strange beast this is, i had not come across this work until now and it's rather bizzare, part comedy musical, part serious music, part Pop, a really weird mix of genres, with, it has to be said, a couple of great ambient tracks, and, although i'm normally a fan of Peter Cook, here i just don't find it very amusing, instead, his nasal voice "grates" somewhat between the music. Apparently, G&C took a fair while out of their normal recording schedule to create this work, very brave, it has to be said, but i wonder if the time would have not been better spent on thier "regular" type of output (which would have added more pennies to thier retirement funds;)

This, as far as i can see, is the only CD release to date of David's first compilation album (using the same title), and, as such, is resonably scarce (£10-£20 range) (there was not one on Ebay or Amazon at the time of entry at least)
