Juke Jules SUBS 25th Mar 2014		CD Album Helen Merrill - Jazz 'Round Midnight (1990)	A compilation of Merrill's tracks recorded with various orchestras and combinations, and one track with piano accompaniment by John Lewis. We think of Lewis as generally upbeat and lively for his work with the MJQ, but here Merrill has convinced him to use all his skill to play thoughtfully and sensitively as she works her usual craft of taking this jazz standard at a quarter the speed of anyone else [YouTube Video]
