Lee Wrecker 7th Dec 2017		CD Album The Rutles - The Rutles (2007)	One can only imagine what would have happened to Rutland's finest if all their best tunes weren't ripped off and rearranged slightly by that mob of greasers from the Mersey. Then years later, them fookin' mouthy Mancs did it again. Talk about "insult to injury." The Rutles must have been the most talented and unluckiest band in pop history. If only the universe were just - "thoughts meander like a ruttling wind inside a letter box". Ooh, the memories "Rutle yer jewelry" they were so cheeky.
Lee Wrecker 7th Dec 2017		CD Album Gene Vincent - The 25th Anniversary Tribute Album (1996)	I think the label here should be Jasmac (see back cover) as it is listed this way here and here. This is also widely considered to be a (low sound quality) bootleg and only 100 limited copies were released. Should we update the country to the pirate flag?

Lee Wrecker 2nd Dec 2017		CD Album Anthrax - Attack Of The Killer B's (1991)	Hi MoreFloyd, I'd say this is an Australian release rather than international. A quick check of images here reveals that only the Canadian release has the same cat# (exactly) and that the Canadian issue has two extra digits 97 on the barcode (so not an exact match). The UK (IMCD 179) and French (CID 9980) editions use the same cat# but only as a secondary cat# and do have the same barcode though. So little differences would make this a uniquely Australian release unless barcodes trump cat#s but that is not usually the case. What do people think?
Lee Wrecker 22nd Nov 2017		CD Album Various Artists - Rockfile (1989)	The cat# is just 9.00853 on the CD and not BLCD 9.00853 L as evident on the packaging Vinyl Junkie. So I've added 9.00853 as a secondary cat#. Is this label linked in anyway to the German Outline label? Or is it just that the packaging (label design) and actual product looks very similar to the kind of thing that label produces.
Lee Wrecker 20th Nov 2017		CD Album Various Artists - Rebellious Jukebox (2003)	The Bee Gees "To Love Somebody" must be one of the their most covered songs. It was a staple for a lot of soul acts in the late 60's. The Fall's "Rebellious Jukebox" is still my favourite on this one and as nboldock points out this is a very good free cover mounted CD.
Lee Wrecker 20th Nov 2017		CD Album The Beatles - Let It Be (1987)	Hi Magic, you ask "would these be international discs in country specific packaging?" I'd say yes. This discussion was had on the site with another release from this series "Abbey Road". Here it is revealed that the longbox cat# and Capitol label was used for Billboard listings and ordering purposes in the USA. These also may/may not have been released in Australia because at that point we were not manufacturing CDs here. So depending on where we imported them from things could change. I have several CDs that were released here in Australia that came from the USA in a longbox. Of course I don't have the longboxes anymore the all went in the bin because they were difficult to store and just excess packaging. I do remember a lot of Columbia and MCA releases landed in our shops in longboxes around this time such as this Carter Family CD. I listed this as a USA release because I'm not sure whether it was officially released here or imported but it may have been the Australian issue as well which would cause some problems. The Apple label sometimes appearing and sometimes not on the same release of Beatles CDs is common on a lot of the early releases (pre 1995) of their back catalogue on CD. Is it just an artwork discrepancy or is it of any import? Who knows? One thing is certain though and that is longboxes are trouble and more particularly when they carry different data to the product they housed.
Lee Wrecker 20th Nov 2017		CD Album The Beatles - Let It Be (1987)	I think we need the Capitol longbox cat# here as the primary cat# or do we merge this with the international entry that has the same cat#, label and barcode. The linked international version should also have the primary and secondary cat#s switched around and have the UK specific number second. Or are there other differences here I can't see?
Lee Wrecker 17th Nov 2017		CD Album America - America	The cat# 7599272572 here is not hyphenated like the EU release cat# 7599-27257-2. A small difference, I know, but it has been enough to separate releases before. See the EU and USA listings of Patti Smith's "Land" CDs for another example of where this has occurred. I'm sure there are many other examples but cat#s need to be identical. In some cases releases have been kept separate on the strength of differences in secondary cat#s. I won't go in to that though.

Lee Wrecker 12th Nov 2017		CD Album Tommy Steele - The Decca Years 1956 (1999)	The barcode here is 028946640920 as a pic here shows. So that needs to be corrected and yes LouisSidney the same site lists it as a UK release but as you already know the CD was made and printed in Germany. This is also the sort of thing that gets released here in Australia as well but I'm not certain on that score. So the country of release could be anything but I think we'll need more data to sort that out.

Stumbled across this while having a look for some data to copy and paste for my vinyl version of the same release which incidentally has 6 extra tracks compared to this version. No video though, of course.

Lee Wrecker 9th Nov 2017		CD Album Primal Scream - Riot City Blues (2006)	Corrections have been sent on this one but the Mods have not yet dealt with them or have misconceived what gregs78s and I have put forward. This entry was created as an Australian issue which has a unique barcode 0828768316528 (see my images) as listed on this entry. This is, however not the international barcode which is 828768316528 (see gregs78s images). So a new International entry for gregs78s images needs to be created and the country on this entry should be changed back to Australia. Hmmm.. very similar to Parliament's "best of" Spectrum produced CD we grappled with a few years back. It seems that sometimes, depending on the companies involved, Australian CDs are assigned an extra 0 in the barcode field. So the data as entered on this page is unique to the Australian edition and the added images by gregs78s need to be moved to create a new entry. Correction sent.

Lee Wrecker 26th Oct 2017		CD Album Chicago - Terry's Last Stand (2015)	Having had a closer look at their catalogue on another site I agree on both counts Leonard. They should be bootlegs and international. They also somehow licensed similar recordings to the Let Them Eat Vinyl label which specialises in rock re-releases and is a legitimate label. Does this make Let Them Eat Vinyl records (such as this) bootlegs as well?
Lee Wrecker 25th Oct 2017		CD Album Chicago - Terry's Last Stand (2015)	Leonard, I think Leftfield Media is a global distributor of semi-legitimate recordings (usually FM Radio broadcasts) that is based in Europe for legal (loophole) reasons. They do however produce products for specific target markets which are usually those mentioned in your comment EU, UK and USA. So the CDs they make are not international but particular to a country or region and not distributed throughout their entire network. So I would say they are an EU based company but their products belong to a specific market and should be entered as from those counties or regions.
Lee Wrecker 24th Oct 2017		CD Album Chicago - Terry's Last Stand (2015)	Hi Beggars Road, we and the other site list this label as Leftfield Media and not Left Field Media as you have entered it here. Regarding the dubious legitimacy of this and all Leftfield Media releases it appears the company specialises in sailing close to wind where the law is concerned. Most of their stuff (this included) seems to be sourced from live FM radio broadcasts and as we don't have an "unauthorized/unofficial" option and it doesn't really fit the traditional definition of a bootleg I think this entry is correct as is. I'll send a correction (done) for the label name which you can see as one word on the back cover details.

The other entry is in my view superfluous and should be deleted.
Lee Wrecker 24th Oct 2017		CD Album Them - Them Again Featuring Van Morrison (1998)	Perhaps the name of the band here should be Them on this release as the cover shot indicates and not Them Featuring Van Morrison (on CD label) or even Them Again Featuring Van Morrison as it is written on the spine. A bit of a weird one with three choices of artist name on the same CD.

Lee Wrecker 23rd Oct 2017		CD Album Little River Band - Premium Gold Collection (1999)	I tend to agree with Leonard and think that this should be listed as a German release. The other site lists this as from the Netherlands but that is probably more due to the criteria they use determining the country. There are no UK cats on the CD or even French price codes so that sways me towards Leonard's thinking that this is more likely a country specific release. Not sure if was actually released here in Australia at all but these guys aren't my cup of tea. I still think it best to start with specific countries until others turn up with the same details from other places.

The USA release is only differentiated by having an abbreviated cat# 9-26265-2 that drops the 759 that precede the second 9 on the EU (International) release the rest is all the same label, barcode and release date. Very nearly all International for the particular combination but not quite as is usually case?
Lee Wrecker 17th Oct 2017		CD Album George Thorogood And The Destroyers - Haircut (1993)	Oh, I see it now Leonard but this is a sloppy production with two distinctly different prominent cat#s and the matching cat#s perhaps being erroneously copied over on the artwork from the EU release. It's a bit like like a USA longbox release, a Festival "D series"(Australia) or a Capitol (USA) release in that one cat# overrides the rest and was used for ordering the product. These can be difficult to get right. Nice to see you're on top of it Leonard.

Not enough to separate the two in my opinion.

The only difference is that this disc says "made in France" and the other one has no country of manufacture information at all. The glass and matrix numbers seem to be a match also.
