If this standard issue is inside (all details the same, scans of that can be added there, and the cat / barcode can be added as secondary) >This is exactly the kind of thing that makes you want to pull your hair out about CDs and record company practices these days - take a European issue, pop a sticker on it, and hey presto, it's Australian... take the sticker off, and it's European again... Magic! ...Or in this case, take a standard issue, pop it in a new card sleeve, and it's a different product... lose the card sleeve, and it's normal again!<

Often listed on Discogs and ebay now from £300 - £500 (and up!), but this value I have entered was the last sold price on ebay, and seems more reasonable. (There is also a sold listing for the cassette version there for £60! :O)

Magic Marmalade 6th Apr 2022		CD Album Madonna - The Immaculate Collection (1993)	My apologies Jasper, I should've handled this differently. The log for this shows that member RPFiller made this entry, and supplied corresponding images for, and with the Australian Gold disc collector's numbered edition picture disc (phew!)... ...It just so happens, as I said earlier, that this is something I have personally encountered (though I'm not a Madonna aficionado) , with another title of Madonna's titles, and so know for sure, it's a thing particular to that artist, that she does / has done, in having these special Gold tour editions of her albums made available only at Australian gigs... and so are of particular interest and collectability to Madonna fans all over the world - hence the enhanced price / value for them. (I'm sure a Madonna fan will be able to help inform everyone about these discs properly) That Discogs has more owners for this than the standard issue is not, I would suggest, significant, for the reasons that first off, this greatest hits package by one the most major international artists which sold by the ton must surely mean there's more copies even in Australia of the standard issue than the clearly limited numbering of this edition would allow, and by some considerable margin, I'd bet... ...And also, the "owners" there may have made the same... mistake (?) you did: The assumption (natural enough) that all other details being the same, between the standard and this, that whichever one they clicked on is right for their copy... I'd bet you'd find owners for the this edition there that actually have the standard issue, and vice versa. Not helpful by the record label to issue both with same details admittedly! But they are, and should be considered to be separate issues, of different significance to Madonna fans due to other substantial variations in them. This aside, I should have just kept the images here on this page until the standard issue entry was made, and then moved your images over. I got too hasty with that, and made a mistake. Sorry.

(2004)	Had to figure a way to accurately title this CD in line with your request Greg, as there a tdiffering title variations on spines to what's printed on disc, and then again what's on cover. I've added it in the end as: Live! Priceless Collection, as that's what's on spines and front, but also added: Extended Versions, as that's what's on disc, and front and back. Extended Versions: The Encore Collection, I have simply added in notes, as it is is only on disc, but not elswhere. Let me know if you are not happy with this formulation / solution.

These are most definitely different and separate issues, in spite of other details being the same, these are numbered issues available only at venues....I have the Erotica one somewhere (No idea how I got it, or where :( and they tend to be worth a couple of bobs too! :)
Magic Marmalade 28th Mar 2022		CD Album The Guess Who - Live At The Paramount (2000)	Have to say I don't like this kind of thing chaps. swbcfc made the original entry, albeit without images, based on details that later turn out to have been correct for the item he entered it as, or from. Adding images from other issues after the fact, and adjusting the details to suit those at the expense of the original submitter's work in good faith is like a kind of hijacking of someone's entry... meaning that the original entry (and details) will have to be entered again, either by swbcfc, or someone else who has that issue. At the very least, he will have to adjust his "owned" items in his collection away from his own original entry and work, and that hardly seems fair. Additionally, as so many images have been added since to transform the entry, and a couple of people have added this (presumably, in it's current state) to their collections mods can't separate those that own this issue from those that own the issue as originally added... So making a new entry, and sorting out who owns what is impossible. I don't think anyone here would like that to happen to their work, so Please try not to do it. If an item has different details than your copy, and yet doesn't have images, do not assume that it was a mistake in entering by the person who made the entry, and don't ask for it to be corrected. Instead, if an item bearing your copy / issues' details are not already on site, then feel free to make an new entry for it.

DualDisc is a specific brand / novelty format that only very briefly existed, where both sides of One (the same disc) was used for different formats: One side had the CD (playable in CD players), the other, a DVD. ...Whereas this has two separate discs, each the different format.
Magic Marmalade 15th Mar 2022		CD Album Joe Cocker - Night Calls (1991)	Review Going to do something a little odd here, and review just one song on this. (This is because it doesn't seem to have been released as a single, so can't review it, except on an album) It's one of those songs that has been kind of "with me" for a while, but mostly somewhere in the background of my mind, and I've only relatively recently become consciously aware of it, and sought it out. The song in question is: Can't Find My Way Home which although not overtly, made quite an impression on me when first hearing it in one of my favourite films: Benny And Joon. Having recently re-watched it (again! :) I decided I wanted to find the track at long last, did a search on the internet... To my surprise, I saw it was written by Steve Winwood, and moreover, was done so, and performed by him for the "Supergroup" album: Blind Faith - That whole Clapton ensemble thing with the front cover controversy. It surprised me, as I had heard that whole album some years before even seeing the film that brought the song to my attention, and remember having been distinctly underwhelmed by it - very disappointing album given the people gathered on it especially. I remember a largely flat, tuneless affair that made no impression on the memory... ...So I decided to re-listen to the Blind Faith version of the song again on Youtube, and yup, a very lifeless, thin sounding song came forth - really amazed at this, as Winwood sings, and gives a very thin, whiny vocal, not at all like his earlier or later stuff, which we know he is capable of, and even famed for - that natural Bluesy voice that he can belt out at whim... No the original Blind Faith one is crap. I tried for another version, perhaps a re-record from later years by him, ,maybe giving it a little extra oomph, but no, just a couple of live versions just as weakly rendered, but this time, acoustic, and solo. Very disappointed, I then discovered an Eric Clapton live version, also somewhat floppy and vague sounding. Finally, I came back to Joe Cocker, but couldn't seem to find the version from the film - the versions I happened upon were from the Cocker album: Organic, which, if anything, seem to go too far the other way - too throaty, too guttural sounding for me. At last, I found this version on this album, which is the version from the film, but does not seem to appear on the soundtrack album... (Grrrrrr... I hate it when they do that, have a song prominently feature in a movie, then leave it off the soundtrack album! - Grrrrr again!) ...It's not quite lived up to my expectations or hopes, but not far short. But this is truly an excellent song I think, and I feel that maybe the definitive version is yet to be made by.... someone. [YouTube Video] ✔︎ Helpful Review?
