Also, the inlay states Manufactured in Germany whereas the CD states Made in U.S.A.. The USA version on Discogs lacks the secondary cat# so I've opted for Europe for this release.
philwill SUBS 13th Jun 2016		CD Album Quincy Jones - Smackwater Jack	For what it's worth, it doesn't appear in either the 1990 or 1993 editions of Music Master CD Catalogue. I note the disc was manufactured by Universal M & L, Germany which was officially established only in April 1999.

Music Master 11th Edition (1990) gives a release date of May 1987, as does The Great Rock Discography, which seems more likely than the extremely early 1982 :)

The original 1989 release (The Beast Of Alice Cooper) shared the barcode but had just 241781-2 as the cat# and the matrix was just 229241781-2.

Amazon, itself never a cast-iron source, has a much more likely 11 Mar 1993, given WME in matrix (Warner Music Manufacturing Europe became Cinram in 2003) and lack of SID codes, which didn't come in until 1994.
