This particular disc was made in Holland

plocky45 SUBS 23rd Sep 2014		CD Album Public Enemy - Muse Sick-N-Hour Mess Age (1994)	This is the UK version, made in the UK - copyright/publisher Def Jam Recordings exclusively licensed to Island Records in the UK. The disc includes a skull image. It seems that the European version does not have any reference to Island, and the disc image is minus the skull image.

The rear cover is almost the same, but with an extra (French) label code. The disc differs in that it has 7599-27176-2 as the cat. no. instead of the 246 024 / 1768-2 cat. nos. So the variations begin...

This one has UK preceding the cat. no. on the disc, but there will be discs with INT preceding the cat. no. It may eventually justify an 'International' entry.
plocky45 SUBS 5th Sep 2014		CD Album The Stone Roses - The Stone Roses (1998)	It's certainly tricky - as you have pointed out , the reissues inevitably refer to the original year of release only. I've checked several sites re the 2004 anniversary issue and the disc and rear covers seem to match this issue exactly. However, they all have front covers with the white lettering. Interestingly, there is no reference to BMG on the packaging. Then again, we have the 2003 reissue (82876...) with the BMG label. Perhaps, the point is the release is intended to look 'retro'? A little more spade work to be done, methinks...

Just wondering whether the 9362-48140-2 cat. no appears on the Canadian version; that would make it a cast-iron case for an 'International' entry!
plocky45 SUBS 31st Aug 2014		CD Album Red Hot Chili Peppers - By The Way (2002)	Some booklet, case and disc images added. There is no sign of the CDW 48140 number on my copy. I'm guessing that the CDW... cat.no is a Canadian disc, whereas the scans are from a European (Gema/Biem) produced item.
plocky45 SUBS 31st Aug 2014		CD Album The Stone Roses - The Stone Roses (1998)	Yes, a little tricky - there are numerous different issues for this album. Limiting the possibilities to issues with this international cat no., although it looks older, this is identical to the 2004 15th Anniversary reissue...except that the Anniversary has white lettering on the cover. The other possibility is a 2001 reissue with a similar international cat. no., but not having seen an image of this album, I wouldn't know whether it had the ORE CD 502 cat. no, or indeed what the packaging looks like. From 2005, reissues, were using 82876...international cat. nos. For the moment, I would be inclined to plump for 2004 because, the white lettering excepted, the packaging details - cat. nos, codes etc all match.
