ppint. 3rd Oct 2016		CD Album Sir Charles Mackerras / Royal Philharmonic Orchestra / Royal Philharmonic Choir, Joan Rodgers, Della Jones, Peter Bronder, Bryn Terfel - Beethoven • The Nine Symphonies (1998)	tablettything's abilities do not stretch to symbols for crotchets and/or minims: as beethoven's tempi are taken as the starting-points for the symphonies by mackerras, and for the 9th especially, as opposed to wagner's and the german tradition descended from his slowing down of the symphony, i've indicated ¶=[number] for his crotchet metronome marks, and ∆=[number] for his minim metronome marks. (if a mod finds crotchets & minims to replace my "¶"s & "∆"s, this comment will become superfluous.)

ppint. 27th Sep 2016		CD Album John Martyn - Couldn't Love You More (1992)	unless these are *all* alternate recordings to those released on all other john martyn cds, the noted producer is incorrect.
ppint. 27th Sep 2016		CD Album John Martyn - Live At Leeds (2006)	disc 1, track 6, "i'd rather be the devil" is misattributed to john martyn both on the rear insert and in the insert booklet: it should've been noted as being composed by skip james (and having originally been entitled, "devil got my woman"). disc 1, track 11, "mailman", unattributed, should've been noted as being composed by john martyn. the date of the leeds gig was 13/2/1975 rather than the 20/2/1975 given. (these corrections & additions according to the much fuller recording details of the 2010 universal-island/island remasters "live at leeds (deluxe edition)" double cd insert booklet.)

ppint. 13th Sep 2016		CD Album Various Artists - The Original Soundtrack Of The 20th Century Fox Presentation Of The Lou Adler/michael White Production Of The Rocky Horror Picture Show (2001)	track 11 "once in a while" by barry bostwick: apparently from a scene shot for, but deleted from, the released film. track 8 by meat loaf: now better-known as "hot patootie - bless my soul", but apparently this was its original official title. track 7 was referred to in the stage show as "the charles atlas song", but retitled for the film - probably to avoid any confusion, claims and/or liabilities arising from the use of the name from body-builder's estate etc.

ppint. 9th Jul 2016		CD Album Spooky Tooth And Pierre Henry - Ceremony: An Electronic Mass (2015)	regarded by those members of the group whose playing appear on it (not all of the then group) as work done for hire, rather than their third album or even the collaboration as which they were sold the idea. which doesn't mean it's necessarily a poor album, of course: but it's not really a spooky tooth album.

Cale - Rewind (2007)	h: the asin on amazon uk is "B009VUM2WE", and the seller is "nagiry". on being queried by email via amazon yuk, "nagiry" replied that their suppliers did not give them that information - but "nagiry" still claim(s) to have exactly the same small number (5) of copies of the - purported - double cd in stock . . . this currently links...

Cale - Rewind (2007)	a double-cd album of the same title is being advertised (on amazon yuk), but with no track-listing: does anycatter out there have this, or tried ordering it, and does it contain aught extra worth buying it for - or, indeed, is it an erroneous listing?

ppint. 13th May 2016		CD Album Traffic - Heaven Is In Your Mind (2000)	on the ua lp, "paper sun" is faded out early, and then the missing tail-end returns in snippets between subsequent tracks (? and similar ghostly snippets of ''here we go round the mulberry bush''?) until what's left is given its own track-listing as "we're a fade, you missed this". is the same unnatural treatment inflicted upon "paper sun" on this cd release° ? ° - the retention of "we're a fade" suggests this, but that wouldn't exclude the restoration of "paper sun" to its full length as well - does anycatter out there know for sure ?
ppint. 13th May 2016		CD Album Al Stewart - Year Of The Cat (2001)	n.b. the emi fame & the arista cds linked to below contain only the 9 tracks of the original album. the reproduction in the insert booklet so reduces the original interior of the lp's gatefold sleeve, that the lyrics would only be legible using a "sherlock holmes-style" magnifying-glass, or a "page magnifier" (a fresnel lens) - and possibly, not even then. . .
