I think the dictionary definitition of "CD" is "an unresolvable thumping headache for the unwary who venture into its murky world.

Problem is with CDs of any kind, is that they represent a mirror of the manufacture and market place of the times... and so everything gets shifted about as time goes on, and it all gets a bit ad hoc, with companies making it up as they go... so there are no general hard and fast rules which you can apply to all cds over the format's lifetime.... to attempt to do so is folly, as nothing will add up when one set of standards is used or another.

Hey Ho, Just keep ploughing the field chaps... and eventually we'll turn these taters into chips.

 Good sleuthing MM!
Apologies due to you and the submitter. I was convinced Parlophone would not have tied up with Baktabak, as they seem to be unofficial (as mentioned, some are on Discogs, some aren't) but obviously they did. I could also not see how the two would be packaged together, but the Beatles release shows the artwork in a"2-in1" case so Parlophone must have been aware/condoned, although the Queen link shows a separate jewel case (which may not be right of course) so unsure how this particular one was sold in the retail shops.
You are right therefore to let the entry stand, and hopefully we can learn a bit more about these "collaborations" 'twixt legal and semi-legal?. (i certainly have ;)
Never too proud to admit i was wrong (last time was 1982 i think;) especially on this site, where i for one, learn something new every day ;)

I remember seeing quite a few of these kind of releases on sale in HMV back in the 90s, so they must have been legal, even if Parlophone had no input into the packaging. See also Love Me Do.

I have rejected the request to separate these, and I am going to leave it as is.

...The reasons are that firstly, although discogs only has a single disc version of this (without Bohemian Rhapsody disc) - (Blocked from sale as bootleg anyway), elsewhere on the net, independently of us, it can be found in this form / assembly: here...

..And, of course, two members here own it, so it cannot be said to be one member (submitter) with uniquely inaccurate (illegitimate) copy.

...so it does exist, and is / was available, and so it is possible that others may come across it, and search here (among other places) for it. On discovering that we may have separated it, they may add the piece we separated, thinking it was simply an incomplete listing... and I'll be endlessly chasing it round the site, deleting and separating and for no justifiable reason.

(Or an entire new entry would be made to accommodate both anyway, so back to square one again)

And as this site is for information purposes, it wouldn't help anyone who came across a copy in this form, if they couldn't find the information they were looking for in this page.

I think the discussion on this page alone stands as very informative in this regard, for anyone in this position, so job done as far as that is conerned.

If anyone wants to submit a request to add a summary of this to notes, I'll be happy to add that there.

It's bizarre that, under the circumstances, Discogs let so many of the Baktabak product to be sold, but with just a select few, they block sales.

These are all unofficial releases MM, see here, we don't have an Unofficial option at the mo, but it was being discussed in the forum i think (we could do with one i think), either that, or make all these Baktabak's Bootlegs, because as i said, i don't think this has anything to do with Parlophone.
Would pay to ask the submitter if the two black stock Parlophone releases came with this release, i wouldn't be surprised if they didn't, and this was a case of a bit of "artistic licence";) (even if they did put the two stock releases in with this, how/where did they fit, all the other Baktabak releases are in a CD album case with rear tray artwork, you can see from the case image that there is only room for two CD's., and i'm sure Parlophone weren't involved;)
If there were two Discs as i suspect, we can see the Interview Disc, but it would be good to get a scan of the music Disc as well if poss.

Have altered the label to be primarily Baktabak, which are listed all over site as just UK (not unofficial) in order to be consistent with the other listings.

...I have then made Parlophone an "other label".

But while Baktabak may not be regarded as unofficial label here, surely the package (they, presumably) have assembled must be (?)

So even if Baktabak are legit, the package as a whole (which two members own) must be regarded as unoffical?

(even though it includes an official product element- parlophone)

I don't think Parlophone have anything to do with Baktabak releases, the two other single scans look like stock releases?, and are probably spurious here.?
There is a scan of the interview Disc, but not one of the music Disc?
Here is CBAK 4022)
(Cat.No. is just CBAK 24022, can omit QUEEN20)
(indeed leonard, looks like they are making a good profit, judging by all these 435! releases;)

Baktabak buys 500 cd singles, adds new packaging and an almost costless interview disc and sells at a very premium price. And off course every Queen collector wants to own one....

Can someone help with this issue... Baktabak are an unofficial issuer, but Parlophone are not, having difficulty seeing how they would issue something together.

...Or was this perhaps, creatively assembled by whoever sold it to you perhaps?
