So I have taken the later of the two dates, as record companies are notorious for failing to keep to release dates.

Unusually for a promo it does have a bar code (689492144623), so there may be a commercial release, however unlikely? After the title on the rear of the sleeve there appears to be the modern equivalent of a matrix number for the track - ISRC GBMQL1300017 The only other place I've seen this numbering is on a promo 'They Might Be Giants' cdr single - on that, I've used it as the cat. no. as it was the only thing on the sleeve that looked remotely like a cat. no. sleeve notes from promo sticker: - Tony Mortimer Featuring Julian Lennon "Rain In England" Released 23 September (red text) Tony Mortimer is the man behind East 17 and this "frankly excellent Beatles/ELO touched track" (Daily Express) is a duet with Julian Lennon and written by Julain Lennon, Tony Mortimer, XTC's Andy Partridge and Marius DeVries (Madonna, David Bowie, U2). Produced by the legendary Bob Rose and taken from Mortimer's debut solo album *Songs From The Suicase, the single will strike a chord with anyone who has spent time away from "This Sceptred Isle. Note the very rare format of DAT tape for the Flash Hits compilation - personally I've never seen a copy, and wonder if it really exists, there were a few albums released on DAT, notably at least one on the Factory by New Order. musicmasters 20th Aug 2013		CD Single Dire Straits - Money For Nothing (1988)	Just to reiterate 78rpm-maniac's comments - CD Video (CDV) is a totally different system to Video CD. The video section on CDV discs can not be played on computer drives (CD-ROM/DVD/Blu-Ray etc.) or DVD/VCD/Blu-Ray players. I have looked for years for a way of playing the videos on a computer but it seems that there isn't a way - I have a vague memory that the CDV video tracks are an analogue system, whereas VCD discs are digital, so these can be easily played. Both are short lived formats and were killed off by DVD, which itself is being killed off by Blu-ray. You may be lucky and find a CDV player for sale on E-Bay, but please be aware that the machine being offered will be at least 20 years old. I have nearly 30 of the CDV singles, the audio tracks on them are still playable, and a few have some tracks that are unique to that disc, and have never been issued anywhere else that I'm aware of...
