HelBic 29th Mar 2021 | | CinemaWonder Woman 1984 (2020) (2020) | Good review, and I may now just watch it.
However, I have to say there's a YouTuber I follow whose reviews I always find not only vastly entertaining but informative and 'on point'. He tends to give his opinion and then pull apart the good and bad points of the film, including gaping plot holes if there are any (and he does point many out in this film which a London double decker bus could be driven through).
So, for an alternative view, have a look.

HelBic 12th Oct 2020 | | CinemaThor: Ragnarok (2017) (2017) | Odd isn't it?
I did enjoy this movie but also felt slightly let down by it. Why? Simply because as a kid, I bought every American superhero comic I could find. It was the early 60s and Marvel were really starting to take off and so I bought the very first Thor comic "Journey Into Mystery".
The Thor character in the comics was very straight laced and dis speak as thoug out of Shakespeare, so I enjoyed the Thor movies and characterisation very much.
This iteration see him transform almost into a 21st century character - for me the character arc and transition from Shakespearean hero into modern man was too quick.
Pity as it really was a good movie, mind you ther transition into lazy fat slob in the last Avengers movie was a step too far for me.

HelBic 20th Aug 2018 | | CinemaTrue Lies (1994) (1994) | ReviewI loved this when I saw it at the movies and now own it on DVD. The cast, script and pace of the movie are fantastic. There are a number of 007 references not least the scene where he scuba dives in a dry suit and strips off to reveal a dinner suit underneath.
Jamie Lee Curtis was outstanding and sexy as hell in this movie.
A must see!

HelBic 8th Nov 2015 | | CinemaYou Only Live Twice (1967) (1967) | Rated 10/10For me, Bond's best movie starring Sean Connery. Of course, it may just be the theme song as sung by Nancy Sinatra which effectively introduced the strings that famously appear in just about every other Bond theme since!
