I have to say I really enjoyed this movie. I seem to enjoy movies about people seeking revenge, and the action parts of the movie I thought were well done.

The Maltese Falcon (1941) (1941)
I thought Bogart was OK in this and I thought Sidney Greenstreet was great, the two that got on my goat were Peter Lorre & Mary Astor, now that was over-acting

We're Doomed!: The Dad's Army Story (2015) (2015)
John Sessions Arthur Lowe/Capt Mainwaring in this is actually very good, the rest of the platoon actors were a bit hit and miss with possibly the exception of Michael Cochrane playing Arnold Ridley / Pte Godfrey. Richard Dormer and Paul Ritter were excellent as Perry & Croft as was Keith Allen as Head of BBC, Paul Fox. Overall a very pleasant way to spend an hour

A Matter Of Life And Death (1946) (1946)
I have to agree 100% on your analysis of the movie. I would correct you on one thing though and that's David Niven's character was Squadron Leader Peter Carter and he was flying back in a damaged Lancaster bomber and not a Spitfire.
