I have a copy of this with purple labels and a 1976 copyright on the label.

Kiri Te Kanawa - Kiri (1988)
I added it but it was one of a box of tapes I picked up purely for 45worlds - it's long gone.

Mstislav Rostropovitch - Royal Philharmonic Orchestra (1959)
Nice looking thing.

I've a stack of Naxos classical CDs to add here, when I get round to it.

Various Artists - Favorites From The Classics (1992)
The first rule of Cassette Scanning Club is...

(Incidentally it was another user, not me, who first told us about the clear tape scanning trick...though sadly I cannot remember who! But thanks).

Rotate them ninety degrees before scanning and you won't get those reflected lines of light. Works a treat.

Various Artists - Mozart (2002)
Yeah funnily enough I've seen a few copies of this of late in various shops... but for 25p I was finally sold! :-D

Of course I may have been thinking, "hmm, this could go on Classical World..." but I'm admitting nothing!

Various Artists - Mozart (2002)
I bought this from the charity shop completely new and unopened (for the grand sum of 25p) - it seems The Classic Composers was a mail order series. The package I have includes all the leaflets, letter and bumph that came with it. I'll scan the relevant bits (some of it is just unrelated marketing junk mail).

Should the label be Delta Music???

Another query with this is that although the copyright notice says 2002 (well, MMII to be precise), I Googled it and found a conversation on a forum from 2008 where people were saying they had just received these through the post... gone with 2002 for now but possibly some clarification needed at some point.

Nigel Kennedy - Kafka (1996)
This was Nigel Kennedy's first album of original compositions. "Melody In The Wind" (which also features Stephane Grappelli) is fantastic.

"makes me feel like a dog looking at a door knob" - LOL

Reminded me of something Bill Hicks said... "he looked like a dog that's just been shown a card trick".

Tracks 14 to 17 are a competition to "identity the four pantomime pieces", hence the performers/titles/composers are not given.

Kathleen Ferrier - Schubert And Schumann Recital (1954)
Added sleeve variants which (incorrectly, it seems) credits John Newmark as pianist instead of Phyllis Spurr. The insert credits Spurr. Newmark only features on the final track.

Is this an early cover, i.e. with a printing error that was then corrected???

Bit suspicious about the date on this one; I suspect it's actually a later reissue. Anyone...?
