The work recorded here with Schubert's added 'Cello part, dates from 1814 but was discovered only during the last year of World War I, (1918) during the search of an attic of a house near Zell-am-See. It was published under Schubert's name by Georg Kinsky in 1926... It is in five movements retaining even in the more formal Quartet form the essential divertimento style of its trio predecessor. ~from liner notes
