ACT TWO (films):

IT'S YOUR AMERICA (c1943)
Elaborate production stars Arthur Kennedy (disgruntled draftee); Preston Foster (field surgeon); J. Carroll Naish (French Officer); and Don ("Winslow Of The Navy") Terry as an infantryman, whose Lucky Penny signifies what America is all about. Stirring, tear-jerking finalé.

HANDS (1944)
Essay exploiting productive hands juxtaposed with those of the dead.

MYRA HESS (1945)
The famed pianist in a lunchtime concert at London's National Gallery, performing a work by Beethoven, a German; the significance of which was to send "a strong message to the enemies of Democracy that Brits could admire the culture of the German people while abhoring the politcal realities of the Nazi Reich".

ARMY AIR FORCES -PACIFIC (1945))
The Flight Of The Enola Gay. Glorifies air-killing machines; and the preparation and delivery of the A bomb on Japan.

JUST FOR REMEMBRANCE (c1944) )
Heart-wrenching, tear-filled Bond Drive finalé; a plea for war's end; to bring home the men, not the personal effects they left behind in death.
