I have listed the rest of the releases, all in 2008, not 2007, and I would appreciate a moderator making alteration, as necessary, to the dates of issue. I have copies of all those listed, and wrote dates inside the card sleeve when I bought the Daily Mail/Mail on Sunday.
I got my free copy of "A Matter Of Life And Death" when I bought The Daily Mail on Saturday 12th April 2008, and from recollection, there was a coupon you had to cut or tear out, and present to the cashier to obtain a free DVD, which were piled up next to the till.
There was a jobsworth assistant at W H Smith, where I collected my DVD's from, who insisted on a coupon from that days newspaper before giving out the DVD, so I would keep her waiting while I tore out the coupon from the paper, so inconveniencing other shoppers - I was not going to buy the paper, then go to the back of the queue, to retrieve and hand in the coupon, to obtain the DVD.
I bought a paper there daily, so she soon realised I was not going to take any nonsense, and when I handed the paper to be scanned, she handed over a DVD without any more palava - being polite, I always said "...thank you, VERY much..." and left.
This release was on a Saturday, but because it was a two-part deal, and I didn't really care for "The Heroes of Telemark", I did not bother going back Sunday for the extra DVD.
