Video Game
Notes Written by David Mullich and unofficially based upon the 1967-68 TV series, though this version also incorporates elements of Franz Kafka's The Castle. Later remade as Prisoner II for later Apple II operating systems. Notable for its metafictional aspects, such as a fake program error that tricked players into typing in a code number that caused them to lose the game, and for rewarding players who accessed the game's source code to determine a solution. According to an article in Atari Connection magazine, the game was also used as a training tool by the CIA. Images
