Comment by Caren.: Meine Erwartungen sind nicht so hoch an diesem trübseligen Tag, der mich übers Leben, die Ziellosigkeit darin und die Endlichkeit dessen nachdenken ließ, und nun fängt es auch noch an zu regnen, doch was dann folgt, schenkt dem Abend eine versöhnend warme Decke. Mein gefühlt mindestens 5. oder 6. Mal MOTORPSYCHO startet unter dem heutigen norwegischen Motto der Frankfurter Buchmesse pünktlich um 21:00 ohne Vorgruppe. Man munkelt im Saal, das Kronprinzenpaar sei auch hier, da Mette Marit und besonders ihr Gatte Haakon große Fans der Band seien. Auf eine Limousine wird aber verzichtet, man mischt sich inkognito unters Volk. Dafür sieht man hr-Fernsehkameras, die den Anfang des Konzerts filmen. Ansonsten waren Kameras nicht erlaubt, daher habe ich diesmal leider kein live-Bildmaterial zu bieten, vielleicht kann jemand was in den Kommentaren beisteuern. Ich platziere mich erstmal weiter hinten, auf luftiger Höhe des Merchstands, heute ein Devotionalien-Eldorado für Fans. Für mich gibt's einen Kutten-Aufnäher mit Totenkopf und den lateinischen Worten "Facete tumultum nun bellum" (kann das jemand übersetzen? Ich hab's nicht herausfinden können, hatte nie Latein). MOTORPSYCHO sind in Bestform, zu viert und können ihre psychedelischen Hintergrundvideos im Mousonturm in voller Größe auf Breitbild ausfahren. Ihr Spiel ist heute so extrem tight, der zweistimmige Gesang 1A synchron, so dass ich nicht weiß, ob ich sie jemals SO gut gesehen habe! Ich kann es kaum fassen. Die langhaarigen Frontmänner greifen gleich beide beim ersten Stück zur doppelhalsigen Gitarre, schwurbeln und rocken sich den Arsch ab, und das fast durchgängig mit recht treibenden Stücken, von denen ich allerdings nur eines namentlich erkenne ("A.S.F.E.", oops, ich bin unwürdig *g*). Auch wenn Hits wie z.B. "You lied" oder "Greener" heute fehlen - die Setlist variiert auf der Tour sehr -, bekommt die umfassende Jam-Stimmung dadurch etwas ganz besonderes. Zwischendurch gibt es zwar auch mal einen ruhigeren Song, aber die meiste Zeit kann man sich völlig gehen lassen und beschwingt mit den Haaren hin und her schaukeln. Begleitet von den hypnotischen bewegt-Blubber-/Waberbildern (mit Augen drin *g*) schwellen die Songs mal zur großen Lautstärke an und dann wieder ab bis in die endlose Weite der extrem leise ans Ufer schwappenden Tonwellen. Nach einem besonders langen Stück ruft jemand in der Sekunde der absoluten Stille (ganz kurz bevor der Applaus einsetzt) ein lautes "Thank youuuu!!" hinein. Das war nett :-) MOTORPSYCHO revanchieren sich mit ein paar kurzen "hey, wie geht's?"-Ansagen (man kramt kurz nach deutschen Ausdrücken, bis man das richtige gefunden hat), um aber gleich weiter zu rocken, und das ganze wie üblich mehr als zweieinhalb Stunden lang! Nur ein Unbekannter bringt mich zwischendurch kurzfristig aus dem Faszinations-Konzept mit der Frage "Sind Sie Linkshänder?"Als ich das aber verneine, meint er "Wenn Sie applaudieren, ist immer die linke Hand oben. Sollten sie mal drüber nachdenken." Äh, ja. Er hat sogar Recht, das ist meine Stärkere, die so einen knackigeren Ton erzeugen kann. Trotzdem muss ich tatsächlich den restlichen Abend darüber nachdenken *nerv* und gehe zum Abschalten gegen Ende des Konzerts erstmal weiter nach vorne. Als Zugabe kommt die Ansage "We'd like to spend another fifteen minutes on a last song called...". Ich dachte erst an einen kleinen Scherz, war aber ihr voller Ernst. Der Sound ist von Anfang an laut genug aber auch sehr präzise im Mousonturm, so dass ich die Ohrenstöpsel gleich schon zu Beginn wieder wegpacken kann, um alles an Tönen an mich heranzulassen. Die Band ist heute unfassbar gut, ich bin sprachlos. Der Tag begann so verwundbar und grau, mittlerweile haben MOTORPSYCHO mich ganz in Watte verpackt, so dass ich durch Perfektion und Schönheit der Musik ein paarmal tatsächlich ein bisschen weinen musste. Norwegen, du wunderbare Soundlandschaft.

Mehr kann man eigentlich gar nicht dazu sagen. Muss man auch nicht. Eigentlich.
Diese Band steht für sich. Es fiept noch Stunden nach und sie können sanft wie brachial alles. Konzeptionell schöner Anfang, direkt hinter den Musikern stehen Lampen auf der Bühne, die aussehen wie alte Friseurtrockenhauben und beim ersten Song fangen sie langsam an zu glühen zu den Worten „sunliiight, please fiiind me, the big black dog is out there in the night...“. Passt. Der Drummer hat ein halbtransparentes Schlagzeug in weißem Acryl, später packt der Gitarrist sogar noch die Doppelhalsige aus, der Basser greift zwischendurch gern mal ins Melotron. Die norwegische Breitseite schlägt gnadenlos zu und die Wunde klafft in alle Richtungen. Da ist von Pink Floyd bis Helmet alles dabei, solche Breaks hat man selten gehört (selbst in einem einzigen Lied). Der leicht dissonante Gesang geht manchmal an die Schmerzgrenze bei der Lautstärke, das wird aber gnadenlos weggetanzt, beim Haareschütteln in den harten Parts wird einem schwindelig. Diese Band ist live immer ein absoluter Killer. 3 (!) volle Stunden! Göttlich.
