chrisb 26th Feb 2025 | | Unicorn
Maria Grey College, London, UK (1976) | Comment on the headed paper:
EMKA run by Steve O’Rourke was the management company of Pink Floyd and a number of other artists.
Unicorn played at the wedding of Transatlantic publicist Ricky Hopper. Wedding guest David Gilmour joined them onstage for a song, was impressed and offered to produce them. (He produced three albums with them, played on the albums and occasionally live with them. He also used two of the band to play with Kate Bush on her first studio demos.) Steve O’Rourke and EMKA took over their management.
The Unicorn (English band) entry on Wikipedia is an interesting read.
Steve O’Rourke had a parallel career in motor racing and his Wikipedia entry is also an interesting read

Burton LeB SUBS ● 24th Feb 2025 | | The King Crimson Show
The Marquee Club [Soho], London, UK (1969) | Melody Maker issue dated 30 Aug 1969 has a Marquee gig ad for this date showing Hardin And York headlining, supported by Griffin. Can anyone confirm that 'The King Crimson Show' (?) actually played on this date? It would seem unlikely as King Crimson had played the Marquee just the previous week, so I think this is an erroneous entry.
