TheDroid 26th Nov 2023		Live Music Bachman-Turner Overdrive @ The Magnolia (2023)	In the summer of 2023 Randy Bachman announced he was resuming Bachman-Turner Overdrive in honor of the bands 50th anniversary. Fred (C. F.) Turner would not be on the tour, nor was Blair Thornton, both due to health issues. Turner did say that he would probably participate in any new BTO album and both ex-members gave Randy Bachman their blessing. Bachman filled in the band with his son, Tal, and three members that had played extensively with Bachman & Turner, as well as backing Randy up over the past several years. This show was the final concert of six scheduled as a test to see how the band was received and how performances went. Due to very strong crowd reaction and ticket sales, an additional seven shows have been scheduled beginning in mid-January 2024.

TheDroid 28th Aug 2016		Live Music Tommy James And The Shondells @ Oregon State Fair LB Day Amphitheatre (2016)	Great show with Tommy James in excellent voice. Played so many hits, hard to keep track. Was pleasantly surprised that he performed one of my favorites Ball Of Fire. He also played an acoustic version of I Think We're Alone Now which was fabulous, quite different from original arrangement.

TheDroid 29th Jul 2016		Live Music Burton Cummings With The Carpet Frogs @ The Coach House (2011)	Review Fantastic show. Burton Cummings is the consummate professional, always striving to give his best performance. The set list was full of many Guess Who and solo standards sure to please his audience. His band, The Carpet Frogs, were spot on also. I'll say one thing, Burton can sure work up a sweat! Apparently Jim Kale had some health issues around this time and decided to take time off from performing. Carl Dixon from Coney Hatch and April Wine had joined the band this year also.
