Manic singles collector since 1967, mostly UK issues.
Disc Jockey (clubs and radio since late 60s), a totally addicted vinyl junkie and music collector. Into a broad range of music, especially upbeat rock and soul, but also much well produced pop and bits of other genres too. It HAS to be well produced, and preferrably on a nice looking label too.

| PaulRusling 27th Jan 2024 |  | 78 RPMMarilyn Monroe - Heat Wave / After You Get What You Want (You Don't Want It) | This was a controversial release (from the 1955 release of "There's No Business Like Show Business") and one that some shops in the UK wouldn't handle. When Marilyn did it, Ed Sullivan commented that it was the most deprived thing he had ever heard - which probably helped it sell even better. She had only done the show as she got an extra $3000 a week and 20th Century-Fox's promise of the lead role in Seven Year Itch, her next movie. |
