Bob Dylan - Blonde On Blonde
The reasons I opt for the May 1966 date are: 1) I personally remember seeing the album at Zody's Department Store in Burbank in either late May or very early June 1966. After doing homework up at the Burbank Library Main Branch we always stopped to look at records in the record department at Zody's. We all marveled at the cover of the album and looked at and talked about it every time we went into that store. It was so unique and strange, we thought. School was out around June 15th or 16th, so that time frame's it as early June at the latest. 2) one of my classmates and I were discussing Rainy Day Women #12 &35 during school lunch one day and we had a debate over the lyrics. He said he had the album, and we went over to his house after school that day to give it a listen. Again, this was early June at the latest. Additionally, our family moved from one part of Burbank to another on the last day of school either June 15th or 16th and I remember walking home to our old house after listening to part of the album at Neil's house.

Donovan - Mellow Yellow
Unfortunately there is very little precise information on the actual release dates for most of Donovan's albums. In this case, though, the listed release date of March, 1967 is incorrect. The album charted on Billboard's Top Albums Charts on February 18, 1967, peaking at #14 on March 25, 1967. I would therefore guess the release to be late January or very early February 1967. It is also important to note that the Stereo versions of both the 'Mellow Yellow' & 'Sunshine Superman' LP's were the fake "Re-Channeled Stereo". The original Mono versions of both of these LP's are much better sounding.

Mod Edit: Date Fixed.
