Some great tracks here including Raspberry Gardens, I'm An Opulent Man and Inert Lightning. Not sure what the story is. The track listing reminds me of Hey Jude but it's different.
Long time coming but the answer is... they were her backing group. If you check in Richard DiLello's book, The Longest Cocktail Party, p204, he talks about these gigs (not much but enough to know) and says "they had become the Marsha Hunt and White Trash Roadshow" and that she ripped her vocal chords one night "as she strained to be heard above the overamplification of White Trash's backing".
New publication. A bit like Revolution In The Head but covering the years 1970-1974. The author argues the Beatles were technically still in existence through binding contracts and this book analyses the recordings until 1975.
