Sex Pistols - The Biggest Blow (A Punk Prayer By Ronald Biggs)		This 12" was reissued in April 1983; perhaps Retaliator's labels (with the 'two virgins' logo replaced by the later 'handwritten' one) are from such a copy?

Crass - The Feeding Of The Five Thousand		Just to add my two pen'orth...I personally think this should stay here. According to Penny Rimbaud, Pete Stennett of Small Wonder offered the band a single after hearing a demo; the band were unable to decide which songs to include and so recorded their entire stage set as it stood (including the 'encore' of "DTOUAL?"!) for issue as an EP (not album). After the 'formal' institution of the indie charts in 1980, this was always listed as a single, not LP...although admittedly the 2010 'Crassical Collection' CD reissue lumps it among the band's long players. The mods' wisdom will prevail, as always...!

Incidentally, Paul's copy above is one of the first pressing of, er, 5000 (hence the title). Later copies (not to be confused with the Crass label reissue) added the NME and Sounds reviews to the back of the insert, and 'revoked' the 'Asylum cassette offer' (as the band had by then made plans for the subsequent 7" single).

XTC - 3D EP		The green/red labels are, strictly speaking, a reissue (April 1983). Virgin reissued two other back catalogue 12"s ("Death Disco" and "The Biggest Blow") plus four-track compilation EPs by Penetration, Magazine, Devo, Skids, The Members, Sparks and Ruts, at the same time.

"3D-EP" had previously (1978) also been reissued as the third of Virgin's short-lived 'VOLE' series of 12"-only 45s.

Sparks - Tryouts For The Human Race		There's also a 'hidden' track on side one...a spoken word piece by the Maels' then-labelmate Peter 'Clive' Cook. This occupies the 'playable label' (as Virgin put it) area in the centre; the lead-in groove can be seen in Henry's scan.
