Hello,

I'm Joe (Lawrance), and I bought my first records in June 1964 (the Chuck Berry and Shadows hits of the day, plus the latest Brian Poole & the Tremeloes a couple of weeks later).

My main interest has always been (well, since late 1968 really) Jamaican music, plus in the early 70s, I developed an attachment for Soul music (let's say the era from about 1964-1986).

...but I'm also partial to a bit of Pop/Rock as well, though my collection of this is scant.

I moderated the Trojan music discussion forum (from July 2004 until its demise some 15 years later) and in my spare time I have a 3-days-a-week job migrating customer data into our system for a software house in Teddington.

I attended Latymer Upper School (1964-69), but got hoyed out by my stepfather after my O levels in order to "earn my keep".

Anyone is more than welcome to drop me a line here, although not with any requests for me to sell any of my records to you.

Being in the UK - I had to pay a premium for it being an import - I thought this 12" Disco thing would be a passing fad which would quickly pass after a few months and that I'd better have just the one Disco record - little did I know...!
