albert 20th Sep 2018 | | Music MemorabiliaThe Beatles - The Beatles Collector's Edition Trivial Pursuit (2009) | I was being a bit sarcastic there, as far as I know Pete Best is still very much alive.
The original Trivial Pursuit had quite a few wrong answers resulting in arguments that couldn't be easily resolved in pre-internet days.
I don't know if I would like this Beatles version as it looks very, erm, trivial eg "At what nightclub did The Beatles go dancing after their first Ed Sullivan appearance?"

albert 13th Sep 2018 | | Music MemorabiliaThe Beatles - The Beatles Collector's Edition Trivial Pursuit (2009) | In the original/standard Trivial Pursuit there was a question something like "Which original member of the Beatles died in 1982" and they gave the answer as "Pete Best", I lost the point because I could not answer, obviously.
I think I will give this version a miss.

albert 26th Jul 2018 | | Music MemorabiliaThe Beatles - Corgi Die-cast Yellow Submarine (1968) | Original Yellow Submarines are often missing the propeller.
albert 8th Oct 2017 | | Music MemorabiliaDodgy - Rain Smock | Never liked the band. Nevertheless when it was chucking it down with rain at Reading I wasn't about to let my preferences prevent me from grabbing this freebie.
The smock thing had a hood and no arms but was big enough to cover me and it also came with a sheet so you could sit down on the muddy ground.
Dodgy had a range of novelty items that were dodgy, I suppose, though probably a better way to spend their promotions budget than to blow it on a poster campaign, not sure about Dodgy condoms though.

albert 23rd Jul 2017 | | Music MemorabiliaSpearmint - A Week Away (1999) | I bought the T-shirt at one of Spearmint's London gigs, maybe at The Garage or The Spitz. Apologies for the logo being quite worn out, it did originally look just like the LP.
Good quality cotton which is why its lasted so long.

albert 18th Jul 2017 | | Music Memorabilia[no artist listed] - Usual Adaptor | Yuk, I remember those damn dots. I used to slice the dots off with a razor to prevent picture sleeves from getting pock-marked, though eventually I just banished them all from my collection and now just use a proper centre-hole adaptor.

albert 1st Jul 2017 | | Music MemorabiliaPh Family - T-Shirt (1998) | Bought this T-shirt at a London gig ph Family did, (their Ideal Weight EP was released in 1998). The printing is looking a bit rough now but I've had quite a lot of usage from this top, yes I still wear it - just about to put it in the wash.
albert 20th Oct 2016 | | Music MemorabiliaRocket From The Crypt - Space Ship And Astronauts | Bought at their London Electric Ballroom gig 14 June 2001.
albert 20th Oct 2016 | | Music MemorabiliaStereolab - Mug | this is from Stereolab's official website:
"The first mug that we had manufactured was the red 'cliff' on yellow - 50 were made
The second edition - green print on yellow were limited to 100."
albert 19th Oct 2016 | | Music MemorabiliaThe Who - Sheet Music Design | Bought at their Wembley Arena gig 15 November 2000, last when John Entwistle was still alive.
albert 19th Oct 2016 | | Music MemorabiliaToenut - Two In The Piñata | Bought at their London Garage gig 21 November 1997 when they were the supporting Man Or Astroman.
albert 19th Oct 2016 | | Music MemorabiliaThe Hives - Main Offender, Official | Bought at their brilliant London Garage gig 25 October 2001.
This is the official T-shirt from that time, I have seen people trying to sell counterfeits on ebay but they never get the text style right, nor the pink lips.
albert 19th Oct 2016 | | Music MemorabiliaSpare Snare - Generic (1995) | Saw the band, or at least saw Jan, many times in London, The Garage, The Water Rats, Camden Crawl, The Dublin Castle, maybe more and I don't remember where I picked up the T-Shirt although it does plainly state what it is.
albert 19th Oct 2016 | | Music MemorabiliaPixies - Sell Out Tour | The Sell Out tour. I think I saw this T-Shirt at the Alexandra Palace gig, but it could have been Brixton, however I do remember deciding that I would not buy the T-Shirt as I wasn't particularly keen on it. Then on my birthday I was given one as a present.
albert 19th Oct 2016 | | Music MemorabiliaNebula - Official Band T-Shirt | Bought at their London The Borderline gig, 27 April 2001.
I went to the gig on spec (mainly because On Trial was the support band) and quite enjoyed Nebula, but they must have had some strange mind control going on in order to tempt me to buy the T-shirt as I'd normally steer clear of such screaming clichéd rock n roll imagery.
albert 19th Oct 2016 | | Music MemorabiliaLove - Forever Changes Celebration Tour. (2003) | Bought at the Royal Festival Hall, London gig.
Somehow I ended up with a medium sized shirt so I haven't worn it (although I still managed to splash beer on it).
albert 19th Oct 2016 | | Music MemorabiliaCranes - Very Early Official T-shirt (1989) | I saw the band a few times in London in their early days, I believe this would be 1989-1990.
The T-shirt was bought at a gig, likely the original Powerhaus but it could have been the Sir George Robey or The T&C2, my memory is hazy on this and in those days I didn't hang onto ticket stubs (or just paid on the door).
albert 19th Oct 2016 | | Music MemorabiliaCatatonia - Mulder & Scully Long Sleeve | Bought at the Shepherds Bush Empire gig 1 May 1998. Quite good quality, though I was disappointed that they only had long sleeve items.
albert 19th Oct 2016 | | Music MemorabiliaThe Strokes - First Issue Of Official Logo | Bought at their Brixton Academy gig 28 March 2002. I don't know if the band imported this T-shirt or if it was printed in the UK, but it sure is cheap quality. The band had lots of merch for sale, and high prices if I remember correctly.
If you look closely at the logo you will see that there are differences compared to the logo that they currently flog.
EDIT: I have also included the first Strokes letter inviting me to join their fanclub, for yearly $40 (a whopping amount in 2002, so I declined to join). It has the original Strokes logo too.
albert 19th Oct 2016 | | Music MemorabiliaThe Soft Boys - Underwater Moonlight 2001 (2001) | Bought this when the band played Underwater Moonlight at The Electric Ballroom, Camden 26 April 2001, I cannot remember if there were different colours available. The T-Shirt was good heavy quality cotton, but I sold it some months back as I was needing to reduce the size of my T-Shirt mountain.
albert 19th Oct 2016 | | Music MemorabiliaSpiritualized - Ladies And Gentlemen We Are Floating In Space, Mug | Bought at their Royal Albert Hall gig 10 October 1997.
Another impulse buy which I never used. Sold it eventually, (well I had to after the band turned crap).
albert 19th Oct 2016 | | Music MemorabiliaThe Rezillos - Retro Cigarette Lighter | The Rezillos played a fab gig at The Underworld (11 December 2011) and I happily bought a couple of their T-Shirts, the lighter came as a freebie because I spent over £20 or something.
Now as much as I love The Rezillos, I don't smoke, so the lighter got sold.
albert 19th Oct 2016 | | Music MemorabiliaStereolab - Mug | Bought mail order from the official contact address. I have to say that it was an impulse buy and I never used it, eventually I just thought what am I holding onto this for? and sold it.
albert 19th Oct 2016 | | Music MemorabiliaSuper Furry Animals - Out Spaced | I cannot remember exactly which gig this was bought at, possibly Shepherds Bush Empire (21 May 1998). Sold it some months back as I was needing to reduce the size of my T-Shirt mountain.
albert 19th Oct 2016 | | Music MemorabiliaThe Stairs - Mexican R'n'B | Bought this when the band played at The Marquee in the early 1990s. Printed front and back. Sold it some months ago as I was needing to reduce the size of my T-Shirt mountain.
