This applies especially for US releases where the catalogue numbers often derived from much older vinyl releases and were kept even for enhanced releases with new barcodes. For example, we have moved Columbia CK 37496 from 1990 to 2008 only because of the barcode. The cat# would be the same for both issues though.

Barcodes now appear on label listings.
