 | xiphophilos Member since Dec 2013 3351 Points Moderator | I've just used your wonderful work on the Parlophone R100 series to add the months of release to several of our entries here. That made me wonder when the periods between the A-prefix and the catalog numbers were introduced. From looking at the records in our database, this seems to have happened around mid-1947. I was hoping to have that confirmed through one of the posts on Parlophone Record Label Identification that you once had posted on the 78rpmcommunity blog and to which you link on your Parlophone biography here. Unfortunately, all these links are dead now. Did you happen to delete these posts? I think a label style guide would be very much appreciated by many users here and elsewhere. |
