When Capitol was purchased by British EMI in 1955 the licencing stopped and a replacement was needed for a US product.

RCA was in the process of making sure its company logo was clearly seen on any leased items and signed with Sixten in December 1955 who had started a new company Grammofon AB Electra leasing RCA for Sweden and Finland.
He was given two discs by the new artist Elvis Presley for evaluation of future European release.

The first RCA releases began January 1956.

Telefunken and Decca started cooperating in 1950 with the TELDEC company. They would represent RCA in Germany.and signed a licencing deal in August 1956 and the first RCA discs rolled off the presses in October
