Topic: A Regular Issue 78 from 1965 in the USA

It was always thought that the phasing out of 78's was ignored by companies whose main customers were poor blacks (unwilling and unable to invest in new record playing equipment) or Hillbillies (living in cabins without electricity and with a similar economic problem)
A bit of a simplification but producers of Polka Music like Dana said that their customers wore out a 78 but demanded a replacement in the same format and their replacement market was large.
There were companies who kept producing and selling 78's because their customers were suspicious of, or unable to, embrace the 45 format
