Topic: A two artist compilation cd- how to list the artists?

 | rhythmdog Reade Member since Mar 2013 2802 Points Moderator | I'm laboriously working through my collection of CD's and adding them as needed. Just came to one which gives top billing to 'Slim Gaillard', then below that says 'Babs Gonzales' and finally has a title "Suckin' And Jivin' " The problem: if I put the artist as 'Slim Gaillard And Babs Gonzales" it would seem to suggest that they both appear on some tracks, however, that is not true. They are marginally similar artists and somebody (Charly, actually) decided to comp the two together. Am I being needlessly concerned here, and should just go with both as the artist, or what? |
