Topic: Please explain the insistence of adding incorrect labels or non-existant ones?

Even Discogs distinguishes between actual label names (e.g., Victor), which are usually highlighted by larger fonts or some kind of logo design, and the full name of the record companies (e.g., Victor Taking Machine Co. or RCA Victor Division Of Radio Corporation Of America).

Based on this, Sony BMG is absolutely fine, and La Bloemen Productions should maybe simply be La Bloemen.

This site doesn't bother with company names because it prefers simplicity and usability for everyone, even the non-specialists. Accordingly, all variants of one record are assigned to the same entry. Within many entries, though, you can see that people have tried to distinguish between different variants (and often did a better job than Discogs).
