TopPopper 24th Jun 2015		Added - scans of the later edition with the boxed logo. I don't agree this compilation was pointless. In fact it was the first Beatles greatest hits album available in the UK. (Excluding of course 1962-66 and 1967-70, which were four LPs in two double albums, and therefore rather expensive.) This one had "Love Me Do" in its anniversary year, plus all the UK number 1 singles in one package.
BiggieTembo 24th Mar 2014		There was also a different inlay issue with a "boxed" EMI and Parlophone logo on the inlay's spine. Another pointless compilation from EMI to milk us out of more Beatle-cash. The cassette itself seems weaker than the 80s EMI releases; the plastic is off white and the blue printed ink is not as sharp as the 80s EMI examples. This is the only Beatles tape that I have that has begun to "whiten" on the tape, and they've always been stored exactly in the same box, in the same dry conditions. Whether this is a REALLY good bootleg, or EMI used some really bad cassette manufacturers for this release, cost-cutting in production values, I don't know. It definitley looks "cheaper" than the previous issues.
