I thought I should post this before going ahead and uploading my copy of Pye Chartbusters volume 1: The font cover is a brazen shot of a topless model - nothing arty about it, just a page 3-style photo. Would this violate any site rules, or does anyone object? It will be on the main page for all to see, of course.

Post it, then perhaps come back here and draw it to our attention again. We can have a look and - if needs be - set the image ranking so that it won't show up as a thumbnail on the front page.

Will do. There is in fact a very rare alternative sleeve but my image of it is so low-res I don't think it would work for the main image. Also, it's practically unknown, whereas the "big lass" sleeve is on 99.9 percent of copies - so I think that should stay. I'll load the LP up in the next 10 mins and you can consider whether it needs hiding.
What's really funny is that these LPs were ostensibly aimed at teenagers who probably couldn't afford the singles and therefore bought cover versions. My mum would have swiped me if I had bought this home as a teen!
I've also noticed that subsequent volumes of Pye Chartbusters all featured a tasteful non-nude shot. Guess there must have been widespread objection to the Nicola Austin cover.
I don't know the ins and outs of it, but I gather the problem came more from retailers unwilling to stock it. Not entirely sure. I know when Top of the Pops featured a model in a see-through top, there were complaints. Seems relatively tame by modern standards, but as you say, these were as much for kids as adults.
