It was you who sorted the Flamin' Groovies - a few moons ago!
You are right about the mass cross linking ie. AB & CD's, AB & DB's, AB & whoever, need to show under AB discography but remain seperate listings with links to the main discography.
Sometime however you may end up with The AB's, The ABs, AB's, ABs - all the same band with slight variations to the name (no collaborations).
I think that when they are infact the same band (with the same lineup - think Rolling Stones and the 2 or 3 namings on the site) then they should be cross linked en mass under one discography.
Got another one that needs sorting, we have Roy Wood, Roy Wood's Wizzard and Wizzard.
Wizzard and Wood's Wizzard a joint discography and Wood on his own a linked artist maybe?

yeah i think that's how it was sorted on 45cat, it's another awkward band where the name changed about and changed depending what country it LP was released!
Hi guys, could you please link The Davis Sisters (Gospel) to The Famous Davis Sisters? The first one I created with (Gospel) to distinguish this gospel group from Skeeter and Betty Jack's country duo, but I have since added two Savoy albums with the "Famous" designation (which seems to be the most common, although at least one of the other Savoy albums that I don't yet have doesn't have that!).

Just out of curiosity (does not apply to me anymore, as I'm done with him for now....), will new additions be linked automatically? Or does it have to be alerted on an aas-needed basis?

No rush. I realise the to-do list on here is getting rather long.
Also the drop down menu to switch from an artists lp discography to the 12", 78 etc is a great addition.

Indeed - that's Orbiting Cat's handiwork.
It's only available on a few artists at the moment but it will appear on more over time (we are doing them manually).
They are definately a good idea good job OC.
Another similar idea for the future (if it's actually possible) could you not link the singles from a certain album to the album.
E.g. The beatles let it be lp linked to the let it be single?
just a nice idea probably be too much work to ever implement though!
Just come across another artist that needs the links sorted 78rpm world has The Crickets, Buddy Holly and The Crickets and Buddy Holly all separated. First two linked and Holly solo as a see also?
