I appreciate the need for Classical World but aren't there more as yet unbirthed worlds of a higher priority? :erk:

I think Biscuit World is still in the discussion stage

I have been hanging on to a rare bourbon mispress, with 12 little holes in the top, rather than the regulation 10. Hope it goes live soon!

I think that's an Export Issue.

...Man, if you crave a biscuit, then you gotta try Jacobs Kimberley, you can only get them in Ireland, unless you want to pay an arm and a leg for them, and I still have the empty tin as shown, which I keep odd receipts in that I don't want to lose, like Pirelli P-Zero 225-40 X 18YR tyre receipts, cheap at £120 a pop.......

My tummy is rumbling so much I gave the screen a lick... it does not taste good.

(Kind of... Static-y!)

Interested to know if the Jammy Dodger came out of the Flatbed scanner the same dimensions it went in Jock_Girl! (Twice the area, half the thickness... or was it a pile of jammy crumbs?)

Would you believe I don't have single biscuit in the house today?

...only Jacob's crackers.... Hmmm.... Cheeeeeeese!

Will have to get some Chocolate Digestives tomorrow I think.

... anyway, what was the topic again?

Tea?

Has there ever been a classical work singing the praises of single malts?

If not, there should be

Nice...

...Let me see if I can predict the narrative arc of this conversation, which began with a very civilised discussion of classical music, biscuits, and tea, has now progressed to Malt Whiskey....

...Next stop will inevitably be Moonshine of some description, then:

The Spirit in This Guy (Borrowed the misquote from Purple Haze here)

...Then:

Eric Clapton: Cocaine.

...Then:

The Velvet Underground: Heroin.

...Then:

Eric Idle: One Foot In The Grave.

... Then:

Requiem: Mozart.

Perhaps we've seen the Human Condition encapsulated in a single forum thread through the medium of Popular Culture (Sorry, Classical for that last one!).

...Man and His Music:

A Portrait Of The Decline And Inevitable Fall of Western Civilisation,

That is an interesting thought. Just this morning in the grocery store they were playing late 60's rock & roll, and another customer asked me if I thought that that jmusic might be making us baby-boomers buy more.

Notice on wikipedia Mike Sammes Singers

Sammes died at the age of 73 in May 2001, several months after a bad fall from which he had never fully recovered. Johnny Trunk, of Trunk Records, was able to recover a number of reel-to-reel tapes from Sammes' house (despite it having been ransacked by house clearance), which he went on to compile as Music For Biscuits, so-named because it featured 1960s/1970s advertising jingles for Tuc biscuits, etc

For me, the best ever biscuit jingle was "If you like a lot of chocolate on your biscuit join our club".

(Would it be churlish to point out that Tuc were crackers rather than biscuits, being a savoury item suitable for topping.)
