 | pantman Member since Feb 2012 678 Points | Why has there been no organisation o the CD albums? It look a mess, compared to the other formats. Can we have it in Countries or Album title |

It was felt that for CD Albums, the country of release is less relevant as a great deal of releases are global/continental releases and so the artist discogs were combined into one list. Label discographies are still tabbed by country. |

| pantman Member since Feb 2012 678 Points | Thanks for the information. I personally disagree, the entire 45 worlds repertoire has a set format - except CD Albums. To be honest the artist discography for CD Albums looks messy, it should have a more cohesive, if the MODS do not want country then album Album Title! This would give the end user a more researchable view. At the end of the day is not what the MODS want, it should be the end users and contributors. I have over 7600 CD albums and want contribute more. Pantman |

 | TopPopper Member since Mar 2013 2612 Points | So far as we can see, CD albums seem to be different from the other formats in that they often appear to come from no specific country. You might have what seems like a UK CD, to find that the disc was made in Germany and the item on sale in Australia. It becomes very difficult to put a discography together, as so many are international, so the country system doesn't give you what you want. Your "UK" CD won't appear under "UK" because it isn't just a UK release - the Beatles 1987 CDs for example, apparently being on sale in several countires. This is very different from LPs and the other formats, which seem to be much more country-specific. |

Vinyl albums f.ex. have maybe fifty or more different releases for several countris, but that will not happend in the CD album world, I suppose, where a great deal of them are Europe or International. |

It may an idea to add a filter on the page so the end user could see the releases by title, county, year etc. similar to the "other formats" drop down bar. Only a thought - then we all get what we want. |

This feature is already there  View an artist eg The Beatles:http://www.45worlds.com/cdalbum/artist/the-beatles Now click "Filter" on the menubar, and you can filter by year, country etc. In the long-term, the interface will probably change as we get more CDs entered. Maybe some sort of grouping by title. |

As more data is added we'll be thinking of new ways of sorting and presenting the data. I think it has to be treated differently from the other worlds for the reasons others have mentioned above. Trust us, it may look a little wonky for now but we'll find a nice design solution. |
