The 7" listed for Bell dating from the 1950s should be Bell Record.

Thanks!

Thanks, but I'd welcome any other opinion on this. They all seem to show "Bell Record"

Assuming that the earlier 'Bell' label is a different label, then perhaps the later one should be 'Bell Record'.

I assumed Bell Record evolved into the Bell Records of Barry Manilow and Melissa Manchester? Is that incorrect?

I was somewhat surprised to find that actually that is correct!
A Good history the Bell label (from a much more reliable source than Wikipedia) is here

The Bell records of the 1920s are not a part of the later Bell label. I think that label should perhaps be renamed Bell [1920s]

The 1950s Bell should remain as Bell and NOT Bell Record because it a) would live on as Bell until Arista came along and b) the use of Bell Record is not consistant

Well, whatever. The point I was trying to make is that the 1950s "Bell" and "Bell Records" are the same label, and should be merged.

FWIW, the 45rpm issues are listed on 45cat as Bell Record.

He's right. We have 226 of them. Some say Bell Records on the sleeve and Bell Record on the disk.

Maybe we should ask OC if he can just change them all to Bell?

Thoughts?

Just "Bell" would seem correct.
Maybe Jock Girl would like to add "Bell [1920s]" as a 'new label' to help any new contributor who comes along with a 20s Bell.
We already have 17 Bell labels shown on 78cat btw
