Much of the info on the sleeve isn't entered by (we the) contributors. I've often wondered what other projects a supporting performer [guitarist or drummer or whomever] worked on. Maybe everybody already knows but here's what I've found. If you enter the name into the NOTES section then the supporting artist can also be searched. So you can find everything Tony Levin played on, or Russ Kunkel, etc. It has to be the full name; that is, standardized. And when you search use 'ALL'. If you mention it in COMMENTS it'll also show up when searched but on a separate list. I'm excited about this and I'm going to do this for all of my future entries. The heading I'll use is Supporting Cast. ...supporting artists?
try searching this one: Geoff Dugmore and you'll find the Stevie Nicks album I just added.

I do try to add musicians in notes when available, as I know what you mean... people like Ry Cooder and Nicky Hopkins seem to get about a bit, and feature on a lot all time great stuff.
(Ry Cooder has probably done more for others than he has under his own name!)
and jazz has a lot of nomadic session men.
And producers and sometimes engineers make an album what it is too, like Steve Lillywhite, John Leckie, Hugh Padgham etc.

I think that due to the restricted resolution of our images it is very valuable to have all band members and guest musicians entered in text, so I'm very pleased when members do that. Google does now seem to be scanning images for text, but you need a high resolution scan to be able to get OCR from a record sleeve!
Like you, I love to be able to trace a musician's career through the records he appears on, and I constantly think of the charts Pete Frame started doing during his time at ZigZag, but we will not be able to show them here because a) they are still in copyright, and b) they are HUGE
