A bit of further info, this photo came from a collection of mid to late 1950's photos all from a newspaper archive. To my knowledge J. Lynton's first record was out in 62 which makes it a bit late.

Over the weekend I got an opinion off of a record store owner I know who is also a musician and was active in the late 1950's and has a lot of knowledge about 50's UK groups having seen/ known them at the time.
He definately ruled out Marty Wilde and suggested either Jackie Lynton or Terry Wayne, so I'll alter the entry to suit.
showed this picture to Vince Eager and he says " It's certainly not Marty Keith. It looks more like Alex of the Most Bros before he went peroxide blonde."
.here
In this picture he even has one of those Isana/Höfner guitars
Da------------Da!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The first pic has the guitar on a bit of string....the later on a strap....he's probably started earning by then

A bit of string is a little unfair, its a braided cord, I had one on my first plastic guitar ( I never knew how to play it though), got a strap with my next guitar , which I badly played 4 chords on. Went back to the drums.
