I'm starting to notice these "Prevue - Disc Jockey - Sample - Special Record For Radio Stations, etc." 78rpm releases. I feel they are the same thing - but what is it? Promo or not?

I seem to recall a discussion awhile ago where it was said that 'Promo' be used for a release that was only available through some special channel. Given that, the demo/ DJ issue of a record that also had a regular consumer release such as this

RCA Victor 20-3698

would not be a promo because it did have a consumer relaese and this is just a white label version

This one:

RCA Victor Promo

would be a promo because this coupling was not sold to the public and this is the only way it was made available
