| Using existing entry as a template? |

 | JesterWX Member since Aug 2013 274 Points | Is it possible to use an existing entry as a template for a new entry, i.e., copying the entry and just changing the few fields that are different. Examples of where this is helpful would be for entries from different countries or a re-release with new cat no, label, images, etc. Entering the same details from scratch each time was bad enough when I was logging my singles collection but now I've started on my LPs and it's very tedious entering track by track details, especially when someone else has already done it.  | TopPopper Member since Mar 2013 2612 Points | No it's not. It's been asked before - could be useful but equally would invite mistakes as people overlook differences or forget to change something. Best way at the moment is to get two windows side by side and use control-c and control-v (that's apple-c and apple-v to Mac users). |
