I don't know about them, but I am wondering, were they connected to Joe Turner?

Also, is Joe Turner With Pete Johnson’s All Stars the 'Big' Joe, as in Big Joe Turner And Pete Johnson Trio?

That's true, see e.g. DAHR.

Not at all. He ("Big" Joe Turner, b. 1911) came much later, made his first recordings in 1939, with Pete Johnson, see below.
