I've came across several tapes with the name Polydor K.K. Japan but didn't upload them because I'm not sure which country they come from.

I red somewhere that Polydor K.K. is a Japanese company responsible for manufacturing of these products and that's all.

So, should every tape with this company in the info on the cover be referred to Japan as country of the release?
If yes, why then not a single Japanese letter is written neither on the cover nor on the cassette?

I uploaded an example with Polydor K.K. Japan within Unknown Country.
I came across some sources that put this tape in the United States releases:

Meanwhile somebody changed this release to USA but I'm not sure this is correct.

What is the explanation?

I changed it to U.S. on the basis as you say there is no Japanese writing and the Cat. No. is in line with other U.S. releases and so on the balance of probabilities it was intended as a U.S. release. Unless someone else knows otherwise.

I notice here that Polydor KK Japan is referred to as the manafacturing company more than the actual record company.

The author states that "It was a joint-venture between Deutsche Grammophon Gesellschaft mbH and Fuji Electric Co., Ltd. and succeeded Nippon Grammophon Co., Ltd.. The company represented a number of PolyGram labels in Japan, such as DGG, Polydor, Riverside, Verve, MGM, Archiv, and Daybreak but also Stax and Ricordi."

The tape in question could well have been manufactured in Japan for US release.

I would say that tape is a US manufactured and released one; the credits to Polydor K.K. Japan are (P) Phonographic Copyright and (P) Copyright only, so presumably the artist was signed to the Japanese company for some reason. From my own experience with Japanese vinyl, Polydor K.K.'s catalogue number systems were completely different to Polydor in the US or the rest of the world (come to think of it, I think all the Japanese record companies maintained unique numberings), and that cassette has the international numbering.
