How about adding Private Recording or White Label as categories? Promo or Unreleased doesn't seem to cover some of the recent 78s I've added (the George Formby ones). They're not acetates. When a studio or artist had a disc pressed that wasn't for the public, Private Recording would seem to cover it.

This adds the potential for error - just add them as regular 78s and use the Notes field to add further details.

Or 'test' pressing would also be a good category to add...

Just add as a regular record and explain in notes I would also say.

Is it relevant to add test pressings while these are almost one of a kind items, and mostly lower version (ie lack of label etc) of the pressed record ?

We all love one of a kind items and that makes it more important to add those so we can all see what's out there. It's all part of a record's history.Edited by moderator on 26th Sep 2017, 7:34 PM

Question about odd releases: what if there is no label (or at least unknown) and/or no catalog number ? How to fill the fields ?

If there is no label name, enter [none]. If there is no catalogue number, leave the box empty.
