I went out and acquired another 25 78's today mostly interesting jazz stuff, got to smuggle them in the house (so the wife dont notice)at some point, I wonder if anybody has any tips for making or reusing something to store them.? Slidey plastic boxes are no good I think as they tend to fall and crack, wood boxes are too heavy. I no idea where to get card boxes that hold 10 or so at a time?

:sideways: I'm telling! Us girls gotta stick together

Ahem -- actually both Sparky and I have the same prob, although its usually her sneaking 78s in to surprise me!

But -- have you tried your local office supply store. They may have something in heavy cardboard that folds open

A few years ago Pampers nappies were sold in the UK in cardboard boxes 10¼" internal width which were the most perfect fit for about 30 78s
I wonder what minimum order would be required to get some made for the 78 collector community?

re pampers my lad grown out of them now but I did save a few boxes for 7's. I actually have one perfect box from my engineering days it was a container for a 10" polishing mop but they are a tenner a piece wholesale...the box houses all my elvis + a few others about 15 in a sturdy box.

Pizza boxes are probably it...

I have hundreds of empty 78 books that I intend to sell if you are interested -- essentially these are vintage padded binders with sleeves

How do you yourself store the records that were in these old albums?
